Awesome Old School 8 bit RPG!
I picked this up because I had an rpg itch that was driving me crazy.
The UI design and gameplay is uncluttered by frivolous elements. It truly takes the rpg genre back to the basics.
The game starts with a party made up of a warrior, an archer and a mage. At first I was a little disappointed that I couldnt choose what classes my party was made up of. However, it proved to be such a well rounded group that I realized how unnecessary elements from other games are. Well done!
The only reason that I give this a four star rating in the towns. They were a little too stark They failed to feel like towns, and more like refilling stations. And all good adventures start in a tavern.
Pick this up if you love 8bit RPG.
